About the group

Did you know there are over 40 different Lung diseases?

Do you have one of them?

We have been running a local support group for people with lung disease and their families since 1997.

Our main aim is to provide support to fellow sufferers and their families, bringing them together in a social, educational and medical environment over a cup of tea and a chat with people who actually understand what it is like to have a lung disease.

Under Hunts PCT we have the availability of a Respiratory Specialist Nurse who attends our meetings and social trips etc….

Venue & Dates

We hold one meeting a month in St Ives Methodist Church Hall, The Waits, St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

We start at 2pm and finish at 4pm, and all it costs is the price of a cup of tea.

We also have 3-4 days out a year, and a Xmas lunch. Our previous trips have included: A sight seeing tour around London; The London eye; Norfolk Broads, Sandringham, the Norfolk Coast and luncheons at local hotels.
We are looking forward to our future events and hope you can join us!

What we do in the group

We raise money for research, and try to raise the profile of lung disease; we have speakers from all walks of life, from Chest Consultants to The Fire Service. We hold coffee mornings to raise money, have social outings and the most important thing is that WE ARE THERE FOR EACH OTHER!!!!!

If you cannot attend our meetings and would like one of us to call and see you then please ring. Sometimes it is good to talk to others who are going through the same as you!!!!
